Baseball Splits with Shoreline to End the Regular Season, Will Host Super Regionals

The Tritons wrapped up the regular season by splitting four games with Shoreline. With the split -- and needed one win on Sunday -- Edmonds finishes in second place in the North Region with a 14-10 league record. 

EC (23-18) will host Wenatchee Valley (East No. 4) and Southwestern Oregon (South No. 3) for a Super Regional that starts on Friday with SWOCC and WVC meeting in a single-elimination game that starts at 1 pm at Triton Field. Edmonds will later face the winner of that game at 4 pm on Friday.

The winner of each Super Regional will advance to the NWAC Championship Tournament in at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA, starting on May 23. 

The Tritons dropped game one 8-6 to Shoreline (12-31, 5-19) but won games two and three 5-3 and 5-2 before dropping the finale 2-1. Lathan Haywood (5-1) picked up the win in game two with eight innings of solid work, with Sheldon Egger (5-0) also going eight frames in the game three, fanning 10 Dolphins en route to the victory.
