BELLEVUE, Wash. — Edmonds (9-7, 0-1) fell to No. 5-ranked Bellevue College (14-2, 1-0) with a final score of 98-87 on Wednesday night at Bellevue College. The Tritons shot 55% from the field, including 45% from beyond the arc, but could not overcome Bellevue's 64 points in the paint.

The game opened with Edmonds taking early control, highlighted by Hunter White's 3-pointer at 18:33, assisted by Isaiah Lopez, to secure an initial lead. Edmonds maintained competitive pressure throughout the first half, with Avidan West contributing significantly, including a 3-pointer at 8:22 with an assist from Sam Lockhart. Despite multiple lead changes, the Tritons managed to pull ahead with a 6-point advantage by 3:36, courtesy of Kyrylo Kapinos' layup. However, Bellevue responded with a series of successful plays, edging ahead by the end of the half. The first half concluded with Bellevue leading 39–37.

Edmonds fought to close the gap in the second half, sparked by a 3-pointer from Lopez at 17:31, bringing the score to 42–43. Despite strong efforts from West, who contributed consistently with layups and free throws, the Tritons faced challenges against Bellevue's defense. Bellevue maintained a steady lead, reaching its largest advantage of 14 points with less than a minute on the clock.

West led the team with 26 points, converting 9 of 15 field goals and adding three assists. Lopez contributed 13 points, hitting three 3-pointers and collecting four rebounds. Kapinos recorded 11 points and grabbed five rebounds. Romeo Webber scored 11 points, successfully making 5 of 6 shots and securing three rebounds.

Bellevue remains the hottest team in the NWAC and extended it's win streak to 14 games. Another stiff test awaits on Saturday when top-ranked Skagit Valley (15-1, 1-0) visits Seaview Gym.
