Tritons back in win column with 86-70 triumph over Shoreline
LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Edmonds (10-8, 1-2) secured an 86-70 victory over Shoreline (6-10, 0-3) on Wednesday, highlighted by a strong first-half performance that included a 22-point lead. The Tritons dominated the paint with 56 points and outrebounded Shoreline 46-29.
Edmonds opened the first half with a strong offensive showing, highlighted by Sam Lockhart's 3-pointer just 12 seconds into the game, assisted by Hunter White. Edmonds maintained momentum with a 22-point lead by the 6:43 mark, fueled by effective scoring in the paint, including key layups from Avidan West and Isaiah Lopez. With a 21-for-35 field goal performance, Edmonds dominated the boards, outrebounding Shoreline 23–12. The home team concluded the half with a commanding 50–32 lead.
Edmonds maintained control in the second half, building a significant 19-point lead by the 18:28 mark. The home team effectively utilized their presence in the paint, scoring 28 points from inside, and secured a 22–20 scoring advantage in this half. West contributed significantly with key rebounds and assists, helping to keep Shoreline at bay despite their attempts to close the gap. Edmonds will travel to Port Angeles to face the Peninsula Pirates (2-16, 1-2) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
