LYNNWOOD -- It was Dreanna Jackson from start to finish on Wednesday night in Seaview Gym. The sophomore guard passed the 30-point mark for the second time this season to lead Edmonds past Shoreline 73-57.
After a close start to the game, Edmonds created some seperation and took a 37-27 edge into the locker rooms. Jackson had 17 at the half and defensive pressure helped the Tritons secure 10 steals. In the second half the team held a double-digit advantage for the majority of the stanza and closed out the contest with ease. Jackson nailed 9 treys shooting 50% from beyond the arc, and sister Kayanna Jackson added 13 points. Saydee Heslop notched 6 steals. EC was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line and coerced the Dolphins into 24 turnovers.
Edmonds (2-1 North, 7-8) travels up I-5 to Skagit Valley (2-1 North, 10-6) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
