BELLEVUE -- EC Triton women's hoops suffered a heartbreaking loss at Bellevue on Saturday. As the clock ran out of time in regulation Bellevue's Devynn Warns hit a bucket and was fouled to knot the game up at 83-83. Luckily she didn't connect at the line and the game continued in overtime. In the end, Warns was too much. The sophomore guard was unstoppable, scoring 46 points in the win.
Alexa Munoz made couple keys baskets to keep the Tritons alive in the extra stanza, and the team had a look at a potential game-tying three-pointer as time expired in OT, but it didn't fall. Dreanna Jackson had 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Kayanna Jackson also recorded a double-double. Edmonds posted their highest scoring output of the year.
There were 16 ties and 15 lead changes in the game. Edmonds has another challenge ahead when Olympic College visits Seaview Gym on Wednesday night.
