LYNNWOOD -- It took extra innings and a walk-off in the first game, but Triton baseball endured and took two more games from Grays Harbor on Sunday at Triton Field.
Luke Murawski was the hero in the bottom of the 10th when he delivered a ball that went past the right fielder's head to score Cole Watterson to end the game, 6-5. Michael Snyder, Blake Conrad, and Noah Albanese each slugged two hits. Chanz Doughty and Chris Rogers both doubled, and Luke Moisant worked the final 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to collect the win. Will Franklin was solid in his start and went six innings, allowing three earned runs, and striking out seven. Those runs were via two wind-aided Choker homers. The teams traded runs in the sixth, seventh, and ninth, before it went extras tied at 5-5.
In the sometimes wet nightcap, Edmonds used an eight-run second inning to take control early. Albanese and Snyder clubbed two more knocks each to finish the day with 4 hits total. Tyler Hogan notched 2 hits and had 2 RBI, and Luke Murawski added 2 RBI as well. Starter Eli Knowlton earned the win as the Tritons cruised to an 11-5 win.
Edmonds (5-1) completed the four-game sweep of the Chokers (1-7) and will be back in action next weekend at Pierce College.
